About the project
General
This site is about how to distinguish good from evil in the flow of conflicting information. In the modern world, such a choice becomes crucial for the future of humanity.
The site serves as the main Internet platform for the information project “Trust but Verify”, created in 2024 by a group of independent experts from different countries specializing in history, international relations, economics, law, culture, science, technology, education, sports and other areas.
The independence of the authors of the project is expressed in the fact that
a) we do not depend on the funding of government agencies of any country;
b) we do not pursue any political or commercial goals.
Our only goal is to help people understand the events taking place today and make informed choices. A choice that will not only preserve our civilization, but also guarantee a safe future for our children.
Site structure
The site consists of three main sections:
- Fact-checking
- Analytics
- Digest
The “ Fact-checking ” section contains articles that, based on reliable data, expose lies in various areas of human activity - from statements by politicians and propagandists to violations of copyright and other rules.
We pay special attention to identifying lies at the state level, since such lies show that this state is on the side of evil.
Articles in the “Fact Checking” section are classified into two topics:
- Is it true? - expert assessment of the reliability of various statements.
- Who inspired whom? - expert analysis of priorities in the field of culture and scientific and technical achievements.
The “ Analytics ” section offers materials explaining how to resolve the dilemma “Everything Is Not So Clear”, including:
- how to establish the truth in a heap of contradictory information;
- what are the manifestations of evil, and why lies are its main indicator;
- what methods does evil use in information warfare;
- What are the methods to counteract evil?
Articles in the “Analytics” section are classified according to the following topics:

The “Digest” section contains materials that were published at different times in various sources. These materials can be very different in topics, content and genres. They have one thing in common - they make you think, analyze and doubt.

Our principles of information verification
Our principles comply with the standards of the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN):
1. Impartiality and fairness
We verify all statements following the same rules:
- we do not initially take a biased position;
- our conclusions are based on a complete set of verified facts, and not on pre-determined opinions;
- We avoid propaganda and do not express political views on verifiable issues.
2. Transparency of information sources
We strive to ensure that our readers can independently verify the information presented. Therefore, we provide access to sources with such detail that you can trace the entire chain of our verification - from the search for primary sources to the formation of final conclusions
3. Funding transparency
Our project is not funded by any government agencies. In the case of receiving funds from independent public or commercial organizations, we guarantee that the sponsors will not influence the results of our audits.
4. Openness of methodology
We openly explain the methods by which we evaluate claims for accuracy. We encourage readers to actively participate in selecting the statements being verified, providing the editor with additional information related to the statements and facts, as well as commenting on the statements themselves and assessing their reliability.
5. Openness and honesty in making changes to texts
We strictly follow the policy of amending and revising the text to verify statements, facts, and conclusions. By making such edits, we ensure that readers have access to information about the changes made.
