In the center of a big City, in the midst of people, a brutal scene is playing out.
A gang of scumbags attack a couple with a child, right in front of passers-by. Screams, noise - people stop, look out of windows, but no one intervenes.
There's a policeman standing off to the side. He watches, but doesn't act.
The family desperately defends themselves - with fists, with improvised objects, in any way they can. The most conscientious try to help - advice, things, support. But no one dares to join the fight.
The gang leader, blinded by hatred, shouts: - Stay back! We'll cut everyone!
It's a terrible sight. Blows on both sides, blood on the sidewalk. The bandits are getting more and more fierce. The family fights for life and death.
Finally, the policeman shakes his head and says, "That's enough. We've got to stop. This is getting in the way of business".
Someone in the crowd joins in: - He's right! The fighting has to stop. We're uncomfortable. We're suffering. We have to stop fighting, no matter what it takes.
- Stop helping the family! - comes another voice. - Let the bandits kill them, then the conflict will subside.
There are outraged cries: - But there is a law! The criminals must answer! - They are the ones who attacked! They are the ones who must be stopped!
But the answer remains the same: - The gang can't be dealt with... The leader threatens to kill everyone. If we don't intervene, he'll kill the family and then it's over. It's the only way out.
- What about justice? What about honor? How are we supposed to live with that?
Someone shouted: - Quiet! He'll hear. And then he'll cut everyone. Do you want that? It's not you he's killing now...
And the fight is still going on...
